I got my Tablo DVR for Christmas and was waiting to cancel my Hulu account until I cleared out my DVR there. So now I am working on setting it up and after entering the serial number it says my 30 day trial expired November 20, 2019 (but I didn’t receive it until over a MONTH later). Why would that be? It was a brand new Tablo (not refurbished) purchased off my Amazon wishlist… And even still, why would the trial be tied to the Tablo hardware? Shouldn’t the trial be tied to the account so that it can’t expire just because it sat on a shelf for too long before someone bought it? Is there anyway I can still get the 30 day trial before purchasing the subscription? I sent in a ticket and hoping to hear other people who’ve had these issues have also had positive resolutions.
Probably an Amazon return sold as new.
Not everything sold on Amazon… is sold by Amazon. Especially when the DVRs were difficult to keep in stock. My, they clicked on the only option available, or the lower price, maybe with out prime shipping.
Buying options, are 3rd party vendors to choose.Hi there - Sorry you ran into this. As others have pointed out, it’s possible that Amazon accidentally re-sold a returned unit (which they’re not supposed to do) or that perhaps it came from a 3rd party vendor.
I’m sure the support team will be able to help resolve this for you.
Update! Thanks for all your responses. Customer support was able to reset my 30 day trial. Really appreciate that!! No clue why this happened but happy with how they resolved it. Haven’t tried it out yet but fingers crossed it works.
