The assumption is that they make money by offering the FAST channels.
The FAST channels often have lots of commercials, and long ad breaks. It makes sense. Most of those channels are owned by Scripps. By putting them on Tablo, they can increase the number of potential viewers so they can command high ad rates. And we know that they sell information about viewing habits, like Nielsen. If all this keeps my guide free of charge, I can live with that.
