During setup - MyTabloTV not finding internet

I’m using TP-Link AV600 Powerline Ethernet through the walls. I just unhooked my Channel Master DVR+ that was connecting to the internet via this setup just fine. The msg I get is, A connection to your internet could not be established. Please check your internet connection.

The modem is in the guest room. I use the TP-Link connection into my desktop in the office… works fine.
In the front room, the connection comes out of the wall and into a router via the powerline ethernet connection… then from the router to the Tablo.

I tried disconnecting the ethernet and going with wifi… but I don’t see a Tablo_xxxx option?

Any thoughts???

Okay… I was trying to setup mytv from the PC. I downloaded the Android app onto my overloaded phone and it’s working. It still won’t connect from the PC so I’m going to leave this hear in case anyone has some ideas.

Could your PC be on a different subnet than the Tablo is? Is the PC using any kind of VPN?

If you’re using a windows, there are others who’ve discovered issues with firewalls and/or security features interfering and possibly not using HTTPS Depending how much “protection” you’ve added to your system.

I think that is probably it… when the wireline Ethernet comes out of the wall… it goes into my old wifi router before going to the Tablo box… since the PC is directly connected to the modem from the guest room… it wasn’t needing to see the front room hub… but because my phone was connected to that router… that’s why Tablo and the phone could communicate. What a GREAT toy… I’m loving this Tablo setup!!!
