Crashing when starting recorded program

I am using an onn 4k pro with a 5 TB recommended drive with my Tablo 4th gen. I have 2 TB on my drive. Two programs have almost 200 episodes and when I try to start one of those episodes, the Tablo attempts to start the program but then crashes and restarts the app. This happened earlier on another program and I deleted all but 25 episodes and was then able to play the remaining episodes. It seems this Tablo can only handle so much data and then crashes. It does the same thing with my Sony Bravia TV. I noticed recently when I was in Offline Mode that I was able to access all of these episodes so it seems the collusion with the servers causes the problems I’m having. I noticed that when I review these episodes with my phone half of them will not show as it just shows “loading”.
Is anybody else able to play an episode after you have 250 episodes in a program?
I don’t know why they say you can use an 8 TB drive when it doesn’t look like it would be usable if you had more than 3 TB used.
I have rebooted everything and even switched routers using Fiber internet.

Is anybody using a drive bigger than 2 TB?

Yes, 4TB.
Others are using even larger drives.

Do you have any programs with over 250 episodes? If so, are there any problems playing one of those episodes? What media player are you using?

125 episodes is the highest number I have recorded.
No issues with playback.
Using Google Chromecast with Google TV (4K).

I’ve found that when you have over 200 episodes, the Tablo begins to play one of these and then crashes to the home page using Google TV and onn 4k pro. Offline they play fine. Could be their servers can’t handle loading that much data.

There is a DB link between the Tablo and the HDD. I wonder in offline mode, it pauses the DB mode that pulls from the net. Then it runs like normal without load.

I do have a 4TB hard drive hooked to mine with 50% usage. My wife deletes the stuff she watches. Most of mine are movies that I recorded and stored.

I contacted Tablo and one of their recommendations was “Consider keeping fewer episodes to see if this resolves the issue.”

I had to laugh when I saw that. I bought this DVR to record and store shows as that’s how it’s advertised and now I’m told to delete shows so that it will work.

I only have 2 TB on this 5 TB drive. Why do they recommend a drive up to 8 TB.

They requested that I put it in Remote Access Mode. I did so but I noticed that it must have crashed again after a while so I did it again.

Does anybody know how Remote Access Mode works?
