So, after a day the color graphics are still missing in the far left column of the guide, the home page, and all other pages. I have attached pictures.
We’re also showing some issues with the Legacy device and Gen4 app using the Fire TV Stick 4K MAX. Not to the same extent as @Scaleman, but out of 20 recordings we have 3 icons not showing up, and 2 of those same 3 not showing up in the Android app.
That is strange, @Scaleman,
Would you DM us your SID? We’d like to take a look.
Hi, @Scaleman,
We spoke with the product team, try updating your guide data, and let us know if that helps.
Doesn’t the guide data update automatically?
I have completed the guide update. It did not fix anything. Still no graphics on any page.
I also did a channel scan and saved the changes even though there were no changes made.
Did not fix the graphics issue.
Thanks @Scaleman,
We’ve let the product team know.
The product team got back to us. They’d like to know what version of the Tablo app you have on your fire stick. On your app, you should see it under the Fire TV section of your Settings page.
Application version 2.1
Fire TV model AFTMM
Android OS 7.1.2
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks
Norm
I am running a Legacy Tablo with the Gen 4 2.2.60 software with Amazon Fire TV on three tv’s. A few weeks ago the color grapghics went away, and in some cases no text at all. See attached pictures. I have been emailing back and forth with Tablo support but I have not heard back from them in a while. I have recycled power on the unit and rescanned channels several times with no luck getting the graphics back. Anyone else have this problem and/or provide a fix?
Thanks
Maybe you are partially lucky. I just tried the gen 4 app against legacy using a gen 2 Fire TV Stick 4K. The Home screen was dead and only 2 elements populated. But I brought the Home screen back to life by exiting the app and clearing the app cache.
I’m sure you have tried all those tricks.
It happens a lot on Gen4 apps/device.
I just tested it on Android mobile app and it came up blank. I moved it around with my finger and it populated.
Fire Stick 4k G2 I do what Zippy does. Exit out and try again. If it’s still blank clear cache and re-execute.
If that fails then clear data and repeat
Sometimes I change my zip code to an adjacent one and do a full rescan/save.
Power cycle the device. It now has the firmware that mimics the Gen4 device that contacts the mothership. Similar bugs.
If you are talking about an actual Fire TV or a Roku TV a reboot is not necessarily a full power off and boot up.
Unplugging it will reboot it.
I cleared the cashe file, cleared data, and then did a force stop. This did not restore the graphics. I recycled the power again. Still no graphics populated.
Carbon Compound, I signed out on my Android and signed back in, changed the zip code as you suggested and still no graphics. I signed out again then signed in, and it defaulted to my zip code. After checking for latest firmware and opening the app, still no graphics.
Thanks
Would a reset on the Legacy app be worth a try?
If you actually cleared the app data versus the cache on a Fire TV Stick this wipes out data critical to the app itself. You might have to uninstall and reinstall the app.
I have no idea what you are talking about. The original question was about a gen 4 app accessing a legacy tablo. I have no idea what a legacy app reset is.
The Tablo legacy unit has a factory reset button on the back of the unit. I was wondering if performing a factory reset would restore the color graphics.
Link on how to perform the factory reset.
I uninstalled the Tablo Gen 4 Tablo app on one of my three tv’s. The color graphics are still not populating.
I don’t know what else to do.
