Circular Support Articles

@TabloTv When referencing support articles, these seem to just circularly point to each other.

Scenario: I want to factory reset a Tablo Dual Lite. I find How to Factory Reset your Tablo DUAL 64GB or DUAL LITE

Note: The process outlined in this guide will work for Tablo DUAL 64GB or DUAL LITE while using INTERNAL or CLOUD storage. If your Tablo is using external USB storage, refer to this article.

I have an external USB drive, so I click the link to here How to Factory Reset your Tablo

NOTE: If you are trying to factory reset your Tablo DUAL, use this article.

Well, yea, I have a Dual, so I click that link… back to where I started? Ok, but I still have an external USB drive… so I click the link? DingDongDangIT I already clicked I have a Dual…

What’s up with that? :man_shrugging: What about user with a Dual Lite using an external USB drive?

There is a dual 64 that uses internal and not external storage. There is a dual 64 that uses external storage and not internal storage.

There is a dual lite that uses cloud and not external storage. There is a dual lite that does not use cloud but external storage.

So I would guess for you it’s article:

Both the Tablo DUAL and Table DUAL Lite can use external storage, one has internal storage and the other cloud storage as well, respectively.

I understand 64Mb is internal and either can use cloud… But if you’re factory resetting , a user carefully following instructions wouldn’t want to take a guess - if the tech article states to use a different page, would they?

– I’m not going through the process, but want to reference valid information.

I own a dual 64 and I never knew it could use cloud.

The dual 64 uses either the internal or external for recordings but not both. I suspect the reset distinction is for those that are using external and want to get back to using internal.
