Can't change between my Tablos at hour/half-hour

Why does the Tablo 4th gen device stop working during hour and half-hour changes? I’m on Apple TV box

Just based on my experience with real time related material, I will point out that the hour and half hour intervals are the most demanding times for the housekeeping chores to be done. They probably take care of the most visible chores first.

  1. Update the guide
  2. Bring forward thumbnails for the new time slot.

Above is just to name a couple of items. These can involve moving a lot of data if they’re not using time saving circular buffers and data pointers.

I use Roku, not Apple, however I have noticed that if I am watching a program live, that is also recording at the same time, at the end of the program (when the recording would stop), it sometimes kicks me back to the guide.
