I have had my Gen 4, 2-tuner for about 6-months… Yesterday, I tried to watch it and only one live channel would sometimes come on and sometimes it would not. The free (fast) channels would not even work.
So I UN-pluged and still no improvement. So I pressed the reset button on the bottom of the unit.
Now I can not get past the setup screen.
I do not have a vpn
I have tried on my roku ultra
and my iphone… iphone just says setup failed your tablo does not have location configured.
Tablo is connected via a Ethernet cable not via wifi…
Sorry you’re going through this. It’s good that you’ve connected the Tablo to your router with an Ethernet cable. Leave that as-is. Also, it’s best to use the Tablo-provided instructions for setup.
Next, you should ensure your antenna is proper for your location and distance from the broadcast farm. You can use RabbitEars.info for broadcast channel information or AntennaWeb.org for antenna recommendations.
Once that’s set up, then just concentrate on using your mobile device to set up the Tablo. Get that going and make sure you can scan channels and that your results look good, you can record and watch live TV, and it’s stable.
After you’re set up, then you can look to your TVs and streaming devices to get them installed and configured.

Was that a short press or a long press? Was the Tablo plugged in while you did this?
Hi there @skypros - Sorry you’re running into this.
It sounds like you may have accidentally factory reset your Tablo during troubleshooting.
On your iPhone, you should select ‘forget this device’ then ‘add new Tablo’.
Make sure that when requested, you allow location services for the Tablo app.
That’s usually where the error you’re encountering comes from.

Thank You everyone for your help.
I had to remove the APP from my iphone… and re-install the app.
It was giving me problems… But it finally let the Tablo re-connect and it is back on my Roku and iphone.
