Bugs while deleting recordings

There’s a couple I’ve had:

First is when I delete a recording (I.e. basketball) and then when I go to delete the next one (i.e. sitcom), all the info for basketball shows up. When I hit delete nothing happens.

The second is when I am deleting shows one at a time, after the window pops up and I click the highlighted Delete Show, the highlight goes away and actually goes to the menu “behind it” (to the left). The weird work around is that I click right, and then OK (still can’t see what’s highlighted) and then it shows me the screen again. So in a way, it bumps me off the menu I’m on but leaves it on screen so I can’t see what I’m actually doing.

The other work around is to close out of Tablo. I’m using Roku. I’ve refreshed the app and the Roku many times. It seems the Tablo doesn’t like it when I’m trying to delete one thing after the other.

@AlDente Is this on the 4th Generation Tablo app or the legacy Tablo app for Roku?

Can you tell us which version # of the app you’re using? The 4th Gen app was just recently updated.

Thanks for responding, this is 4th gen. It just updated to 1.35 - and the firmware is 2.2.57.

Same issue. I deleted recording 1, then looked at recording 2, then I looked at recording 3 but it showed all the info for recording 2 again.

Going through my recordings, it gets stuck on the same recording. I look at one, then for the next 4-5 it’s the same as recording 1. Then finally it matches the thing I’m looking at, but then gets stuck on that one.

For those with a sense of humor, I recorded The Nutty Professor, and now every recording I clock on has Jerry Lewis’ face on it.

We discussed this with the product team and have a few more questions.

  • What model of Roku you’re using?
  • How quickly are you moving your curor around?
  • Did this start happening with the new Roku update or has it been going on longer?
  • It seems you’re testing our Beta software; does it happen there as well?

This affects my Roku TV and my Roku Ultra.
I’m moving the cursor a normal speed, maybe a little fast. I mean it’s a cursor, it doesn’t move faster than it can move. I’m only seeing this on 2.2.57 and that’s the only version I currently have across my Rokus.

Hi @AlDente, just to clarify a few more things, can you recall if the issues only started when you updated to the 2.2.57 beta firmware? Or when your Roku app updated to 1.3.5?

Before and after. I tested clicking fast and slow, didn’t make a difference, it would still get stuck on a recording.

If I back out of recordings and go to the main menu, it fixes temporarily.

I’m having a similar issue.

Roku Model: 4800RW
Roku App Version: 1.3.5
Roku OS: 15.2.4

When I delete a recording, the “Pointer” will go back to the Recording, Schedule, etc. menu and the “Delete” Episode menu will still be up. I have to hit the “Back” button to go back a screen and then go back to deleting episodes. Does this consistently. Hope that helps.
