Beautiful Tablo Installations

Hey everyone! Let’s see the beautifully-arranged multimedia wiring closets where your Tablos live! Here’s mine… Works wonderfully in spite of its hostile and heavily metallic environment

Mine are boring. One sits on my 7ft desk in my lab, one sits on a table in the family room. Nothing to see really.

I wonder if the fact that mine is balanced on its nose on the hot and cold supply lines to the clothes washer helps create a convection cooling current

I am actually curious about the range of installations. Many will have them unceremoniously stacked in a nook or cranny as I’ve done, but I wonder if there are folks with lovely multimedia cabinets with frosted tinted doors, integrated cooling, maybe mood lighting or a draft beer dispenser, etc. We are somewhat on the geek fringe after all!

Mine sits on a ventilated shelf in the 19" rack in my AV closet. Right next to the 4TB drive it’s connected to.

Plex server on the shelf, everything else mounted to a peg board with zip ties.

Nothing Exotic but from left to right - center channel speaker, external HD, Fire TV box, Tablo (on it’s side for heat dissipation), receiver. Modem & router are in the adjacent room (center of house).

Not super beautiful, but functional. This is all hidden in my basement above a drop ceiling. The Tablo is the left of the cable modem, kind of hard to see, it is sitting on a small fan and the hard drive in behind it (can’t see HDD in the picture). Also pictured, from left to right: UPS (mounted on the floor joist), continuing on the shelf, router, VOIP ATA, NAS, 24 port switch, then on on the switch a laptop cooler, security cam NVR, then Tablo and cable modem.

Oooh - never considered putting it all behind a drop ceiling! Like!

Network Switch

4TB HD + Mac Mini running Plex + Channels DVR

HDHomeRun Extend for Channels DVR, 4TB HD + 4 Tuner Tablo

Tablo is elevated so I can see the LED. Still have to neaten up the cable mess but I’m pretty happy with this install. One of two in the house. This one is on the part of the network that stays connected and up during thunder/lightning storms.

Just a simple setup (blue light to the right) on my entertainment table. Notice my old iPhone as my “clock”

That’s an expensive clock lol

Well it was in a drawer (not in use) so I figured out what to do with it (4GS). Have 3 others in the bedrooms as well.

My server rack is kind of a work in progress here…

Fortunate enough to have a small closet in my office to keep this stuff.

Awesome setup!

Next time we go to a tradeshow we should fly you in.

You should see the nest of cables we wind up with.
