Are the subscriptions different?

I bought a subscription for a year and was using a Tablo dual tuner USB plugged into my Nvidia Shield. I love the product but found it a bit glitchy sometimes so decided to buy the real thing and got the stand alone dual tuner Tablo and hooked up an external HD. I thought I could just ad my subscription like the ad said “the subscript\ion was tied to me not the unit” now my 30 days is up on my new Tablo tells me I have to buy another subscription and I can’t find any other way.

I have this type.

Yearly ENGINE Guide Subscription CAD

Do I really have lay out for another one?

Thanks

When you log in to your My Tablo Account portal, it should list your subscription, is there an “+Add Tablo” button?

I don’t know if the physical Tablo box and Tablo ENGINE subscriptions are different.

The subscriptions are different. See below. Your ENGINE subscription is less than the regular box subscription so I assume they won’t let you add a real box to it.

“ Already have a Tablo OTA DVR subscription? Since the Tablo ENGINE solution represents a distinctly different video delivery method and doesn’t stream locally or out-of-home, we’ve created unique plans and reduced pricing that reflect this new feature set. If you’re interested in adding Tablo ENGINE to your existing Tablo OTA DVR implementation, a new Tablo ENGINE subscription can easily be added to your account via the online portal.”

Hi. Yeah I just found that in the fine print. They are the same price for each plan. I think they are one of the best company’s so far to deal with so maybe they will help out somehow. If I have to buy again I’ll probibly buy the lifetime. Great product so far.

Yes I’ve had my Tablo since May 2014 and I’m on a lifetime sub.

Yeah, I’ve never understood NOT going with a lifetime sub. I did that with my Tivo boxes (before I bailed on Tivo) and now with Tablo. If you think you are going to keep a system for 3 years or more, it should be a no brainer. That said, if money is tight, I could see doing a short term sub, but save up for the lifetime.
