I agree and likewise have the lifetime EPG. It is lower than other streaming channels.
Nuvyyo should not advertise the Tablo as a cord cutting solution when the Tablo does not equate the previous experience of having a cord.
Most TV viewers do not have an AVR and 5.1 surround sound system connected to their TV for normal, regular, everyday viewing. Thus, it is valid to call it a cord cutting solution as the majority of users have only 2 speakers in their HDTV for stereo viewing.
However, with that same sentiment you could say even with 5.1 audio, the experience would not equate to having a cord, because having a cord means nice crisp untouched MPEG-2 video. The Tablo also re-encodes the video to h.264, which does result in minor video quality loss.
Thus I stand by my statement. It doesnât matter what âmost TV viewersâ have. Both audio and video are downgraded from a âcordedâ experience and should not be sold as simply having cut the cord.
It is still cutting the cord. No more contracts, monthly bills.
