(COMPLETED) Ability to jump back to last channel viewed

Yes, This is a feature I am wanting as well! Keep thinking I can do this but realize I can’t…

Picture-in-picture would be nice too, then I can flip back and forth :grinning:

Hi. I just bought a Tablo a couple days ago. The Last channel feature would be a fanastic addition. It did not take me long to realize this should be a standard feature. I like the idea o PIP too!

Thanks for your time Tablo Team!

Richie

@Richie - This feature is actually on our radar… Stay tuned!

This is a feature I’d really enjoy.

I read that Tablo automatically buffers the last two channels viewed. However, there is no way to easily switch between the last two channels. Perhaps, the “A” or “B” button on the Roku remote could be used for this purpose.

Just wanted to chime in with this “Flashback” feature request. Just purchased and set up a 4-tuner Tablo last week. LOVING it – but there’s still quite a learning curve, including learning to get by without the nifty option of jumping back and forth between two channels. So, yes, please if and when you can??

Any new status on this request?

I believe this is implemented in some of the apps already…

It will eventually make it to all the apps I assume.

It’s on all of our major TV apps:

I just started using Tablo yesterday, on a Win7 PC, as a replacement for Windows Media Center for OTA TV. Is there a jump back option for my setup? I’d like to keep using my WMC remote…

Well, if you want to channel surf (and who doesn’t?)… then when they add a button to go “last” channel, they could add 2 more buttons at the same time… a 3’fer… “Next”, “Prev” and “Last” – and now we are surfn’!!

Not yet. It’s only on the TV streaming devices.

There’s barely a month left.

A dedicated button would certainly be obtainable, stop being cheap! I’ll do I for free. I’ve been operating in IT for over three generations, very capable. A Simple feature as a matter of fact, This is a no-brainer. The market would certainly be delighted with this feature…it’s a must have and a crowd pleaser. Drop down selection or dedicated button…pick one. Design, program, and test (not in production!) then release (deploy)…fall out should minimal to zero. If issues, then production trouble shoot, resolve immediately. Easy piezzy. Enough said.

Please explain. Which dedicated button on the remotes for the Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, etc. exists for this feature?

Did this capability of switching to previous channel on an ROKU remote ever get addressed?

How about the Options (*) button? Couldn’t the ability to switch to the previous channel be implemented on the menu that is used to turn closed captions on/off? Seems like a pretty straightforward thing to do.

A request: Please blank the program info at the top of the Live grid screen whenever the focus is in the Channels column. It’s confusing to have info there that doesn’t match the selected channel. Thanks.
