4th Gen Roku App lists only first 25 shows, movies, etc

When using the Roku app on TCL 55 TV, 4th gen 4 tuner, AT&T fiber wired connection 91mpbs typical throughput or Wifi typical 121mbps (!) throughput:
When I select any item on the main left sidebar (not the grid) such as Shows, Movies, etc. (and if available, a submenu, like Drama, Documentary), the resulting list is 4 wide and provides 6 rows plus 1 on the next row for 25 items. Additional blue boxes display and seem to represent the number of thumbails there should be, and some may have the + sign or a blue timebar below, but there is no text, no thumbnail, and these are not clickable (rather they make a sound but nothing happens). This occurs in any scenario where the display is a result of a query. If I switch to “Recently Added” instead of “A to Z” I can see a different query subset, but only 25. I have tried the following…
TV: done a system reboot of my tv, also unplugged the power but did not do a factory reset, but have uninstalled and reinstalled the tablotv 4th gen app multiple times.
Tablo 4th Gen: soft reset, factory reset, pulled power (separate times) reinstalling everything.
Android app: Uninstalled app, deleted all cache and data, reinstalled app.
Tried going from wired internet all connections to wifi all connections to no avail.
I have rescanned channels many times, including once where I selected only 1 channel, updated guide, then tested (hoping to clear any cache) then selecting ALL channels (150) and updating the guide and testing, then rescanning and choosing only OTA channels and testing. Same results.

SUGGESTION:
THERE IS NO CHOICE TO DELETE THE CACHE OF THE ROKU APP IN THE ROKU APP SETTINGS AND THIS IS A SUGGESTION, though I am not convinced that this is the real issue. I believe it is a design choice (but don’t know that, thinking this because it is always 25 items). I would not mind being prompted to load more items if this helps Tablo server load, so that the 26th box says “Click to Load More,” but I do not like only knowing programs from A to D or whatever are on (yes I can in some cases select networks to limit the returned items, but some channels have more than 25 shows). As I recall the OLDER 4G ROKU APP HAD AN ALPHABET DISPLAY and this may have made it far more likely to have no more than 25 entries per starting letter, thus avoiding such an issue and balancing server load, but even this is an odd limitation. Again, if this is to help keep the Tablo server free, fine, but give us a way to reload or load more, please.

I am NOT a Tablo hater. I love it. If all I got was OTA guide and recording, that would be plenty. I think the guide is great and that it is free as well is why I am a loyal fan. My first Tablo 4G 2tuner got zapped by a power outage so I bought a 4tuner model.

Is anyone else having this issue on the Roku app? Thanks!

Thanks and love and peace sent to you all over the airwaves…

You can clear the cache from the Tablo Roku app by deleting the app and restart Roku, then reinstall the Tablo Roku app. A rather clunky way to do it but it does work. Yes having the option with in the app would be easier.

For two days now I’ve noticed an issues with my 4th Gen (2-Tuner) ability to access program listings.

In the past I could go to the ‘Shows ‘menu and access a Network and select available shows. However, now when I select a network, i.e. PBS, I only see a portion of the shows available. The alphabetized list stops in the B’s after about five rows is followed by black squares where other shows would have been listed. Changing the ‘A_Z’ setting to ‘Recently Added’ shows other programs down the alphabet but also stops after five rows. Other networks are similarly missing programs.

I see this on both of my two Roku apps. On my LG app all programs seem to show normally.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I’ve tried updating the guide and resetting the device to no avail.

My Tablo Status is all green.

Yep. Saw this an hour ago on my roku and a FAST channel. Dead non-responding blank containers.

Me too. Roku Ultra 4670. App version 1.3.2. Only 25 shows displayed. Restarting Roku did not help. Looks to me to be a limit on how many images the Tablo servers can deliver. We all know that Tablo’s servers suck.

I’m getting that too, on my Roku Ultra. I first noticed it 7-10 days ago, around the time all the server craziness was going on, and I thought it might be part of that. It did clear up for a couple of days but now it’s back.

Thank you for this reply. I’ll keep trying to understand this issue. I appreciate the info.

Yes. This is exactly my issue, and exactly how it looks on my screen with the 1 item on the 7th row, meaning it is displaying the first 25 items only. Thanks for confirmation! There are some funky issues with left sidebar searches as well… if you search for a word it may not show your search results in thumbnails unless you hit the buttons above the searches…it seems to help to trashcan the previous search, but what really makes the results proliferate are the buttons above the result thumbnails. But I left that out of my initial discussion to avoid over-confusing the issue. Thanks again and I’m interested in anything else you notice that seems related.

Thanks for your reply and for confirming the issue. Let’s hope it will clear up soon.

Thanks for the confirmation. I don’t really need thumbnails, so if the want to make it where it only loads the blue boxes and the text, that’s fine with me! Thumbnails are nice but data intensive vs text (hope you’re listening Tablo Roku app team). Perhaps the thumbnails could load if you interact, either hover or click. I just want a clickable title for the whole alphabet, even if it requires extra action to say yeah I want more loaded. I appreciate that Tablo is hosting and serving this data without a subscription, and therefore seek to find ways for it to work great with the least data cost for them and the happiest result for us all so that it has free functionality. Thanks again for confirmation of the issue.

Thanks for confirmation, and for the detail that this happened before for you and has returned. A reload button would be nice, and an option without thumbnails would be fine with me…spreadsheet style alphabetized links would be great for presenting a lot of info in a smaller space. I love thumbnails, but only when they don’t keep me from seeing titles. Thanks again. Love my Tablo and know the company has a lot to try to do to provide compatible apps and to host and serve us the data free!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for flagging this problem. The Product Team has worked on it, and it should be resolved.

If it isn’t, please let us know.

The situation for me is vastly improved, with a quick test showing 67 rows of 4, so 268, rather than just 25, under “all movies.” I can work with that! Thank you to the support crew for reading about, understanding, and communicating this issue to the product team and to all who worked to remedy the problem. It seems to have fixed it. Thanks to those who confirmed the issue here online as well. Peace to all. Thanks Tablo.

Got some weirdness at first. Restarted the Roku and it seems to be working now. Any plans to add Shows/Movies/Sports tabs to the iPad app?
